I have an 08 grand prix all stock as far as body and chassis goes. I want to buy some 20s with 245/35/20. Anyone else run this set up? Any rubbing or problems?

I don't know about rubbing, but you're going to open yourself up to a possibility for some transmission problems.

Im a certified mechanic so mechanically im not worried I don't do much for "beating" on the car but I just want to assure they shouldn't rub for me, thanks for the help
I had 20s with that same exact tire size on my 04 GP for awhile they were pretty sweet and I never ever had rubbing issues due to my turn radius. I did however have slight cuts in the rear tires because the fenders would sway down if I hit a large bump at a high speed. I also live in Michigan so big bumps are very very popular But I easily solved the issue by putting small plastic guards over the edge that was cutting the tire (don't worry you couldn't notice them on the car just by looking) You will be fine though, if anything I thought the 20s started to look small on my car thats why I'm switching to 18s with some tread so I can get my performance back
Let me know what you decide to do and post some pics!
Good luck man
I will show you as soon as its done but it will probably be a bit yet. Im looking at the boss 304 I think the number was but the offset will never work. But as soon as I do it ill show you. Thanks for the help!
Yeah, looks like they have some los offsets for the 20s
Style 304 Specifications - Truck & SUV Wheels - BOSS Wheels
The +26s might work, but they be sticking out a good bit. Good thing there only 8.5" wide.
im looking into the boss 340 now, closer to factory offset with 245/35/20. I can get a pretty good deal through work so it looks like the time is coming any opnions on the wheel setup, anything that looks like it might cause an issue with this set up. I really dont want to have to cut or roll my fenders.
I like them..
They will fit fine with the +38 offset. You getting chrome?
i rolled the fenders on my mr2 and still rubbed like a ***** haha
^^^ x2 Exactly!!! Imagine if you hadn't rolled them. Its silly not too. I haven't yet and as long as there isn't any weight in the back, or as long as I don't hit a big bump I don't rub, but the tires have a couple rub spots so it needs to be done... Will prolly do that this weekend if I find time.
