Unfortunately the cts-v brakes I bought will not fit under my charger 18 inch rims. I need and extra 13mm of clearance to make them fit. I don't want my car looking like a fricking skateboard. So now I am looking for new or used rims that are known to fit cts-v brake calipers under the spokes. I am not looking for bigger than 18" either as the potholes in NYC are insane and I already have a bent charger rim (but still holds air great). I am also looking for rims that are not blingy. Any thoughts?

Swap those brakes over to a buddy with Lucerne rims. Likely they fit on his Regal w/o issues.

you need clearance from brake caliper to spoke? try something with less offset or a different spoke pattern.

you could always resort to spacers as well.

Spacers would need to be at least 13mm to clear.

But I don't have access yo any equipment to press on longer studs on my wheel hubs. So I would need adapters and they might not fit unless the adapter us 19mm at a minimum.

smash old ones out, use spare lug nut and washers to pull in?

    With an impact of course.

That's not a bad idea. Are there any write ups or tutorials on how to do this?

    Unsure.

some guys at work do this from time to time.

they ask for many washers and another lug nut, and warn I'll never get it back.

What Matt said, we used to do it that way in school.

Take a BFH and pound out the old studs, and put your new stud in.

Put as many washers as needed to pull the new one through without bottoming out the socket/lug.

    And smile it's Blacktooth Grin!

According to drunkiee anything below +35 should work but depends on how the spokes are laid out.
I thought those charger rims have a low offset though, like +30

I would go in +25 range to be safe. Look for G35/7 and 350/370 Z wheels. They have to run low offset wheels.
98 GTP-Mods? Yeah, lots of them

My chargers rims have low enough of an offset. That is why i bought them in the first place. The fat spoke design is what prevents the calipers from clearing.

That is why if I get another set of 18" rims I need to know 100% they will clear. Going by offset alone my rims should have more than enough clearance.

I never done that before afraid of messing up my only adapter. If i had had practice before I would be willing to try, but I don't wanna mess up the spacer trying something never done before.
