Or have any suggestions on a brand and model tire? I have been hearing a lot of good things about the general altimax....Im looking for all season performance tires!

    General altimax = squishy.

Forget those piles of crap and get you some Bridgestone Potenzas. RE970 A/S are really nice.

Best performance all season on tire rack is Continental DWS Extreme contact.

Thats what I'm getting, the size is 225/55/16 for stock wheels.

They are classified as Ultra High Performance All Season

The Conti DWS are not the best performance tire on tire rack. See for your self. They are several notches lower in cornering stability and steering response. They are at the top of the list but they are not the best performance. They do have the better snow rating. So pick which characteristics are more important to you.

i just got some bridestone potenza grids all seasons that seem to be good so far. but i heard its not ideal because they are directional and therefore can only rotate front to back.
