I am looking at getting some mustang bullitt rims for my Grand Prix but I don't know if I should get 17X8's or 17X9's. I like when the car has the agressive stance with the wheels sticking out but I don't want to have any rubbing issues. My car is not lowered so would 17X9's work good?

Is it true that since the bolt pattern is slightly off there will be added stress to the studs and snap them off?

This what I am considering: 17X9's on 245/42/17

    Thanks for your input.

    18x8s would be decently agressive,

    Without lowering, no.

You'll have massive wheel gap and ugly stance...like this:

^^As much as I loved how it looked from behind..it always rubbed on bumps and such with the incorrect offset and wide tires. You need to lower it for sure.

This is how it should be done, IMO.

you wont be able to run the 17x9s without fender work and aggressive alignment. dont even bother buying them.

If 17X9's wont work do you think 17X8's will work fine without rubbing?

I run 17x8, +35 offset bullitts with a 245/45 series tire, lowered, with no problems.

Is this even legal? I know it's not in Ontario unless you have mudflaps .

Odds of getting nailed for a small amount of tire sticking out are probably low but.....

yea it is not legal but i dont think u would ever get a ticket for it, i have seen lots of cars with spaces to stick the wheels out far lol

I agree, not based on the pics I'm seeing. Just curious if things were different in the States.

stock suspension sure. it will look stupid though.

i could easily run them and drop the hell out of my car. but i know better than to just get wide wheels and put them on the car without fender/suspension work and aggressive alignment.
