What is the best way to clean painted calipers and drilled rotors?

Also looking to rotate my own tires.

Thinking about getting a 2 ton jack and some stands, take the tires off, hand clean the calipers and rotors still on the axles and then put the tires back on rotated, any sense to this or no?

Sense I could have two tires off at a time, they wouldn't be properly criss crossed rotated though, just side to side.

Rotating the tires can be done cris-crossed or rotated front to back on the same sides. It depends on the type of tread design. Some high performance tires are uni-directional. That means they can only roll one direction so they must stay on that side of the car.

I have used Meguiar's chrome wheels cleaner on my rims and it seems to get the painted calipers real clean too. Brake cleaner will clean up your rotors but I don't know if it would take the paint off your calipers or not?

Just use a moist rag on the calipers and stay away from brake cleaner it will strip the paint. For the rims I use a wet rag and wipe away but I clean them constantly so they're east to wipe
