I found a set of gxp's in my area. What is a fair price to pay for a set of these w/rubber? Im also trading him my polished pregens with good rubber. He's selling the car for $3800 btw. (A 97 gt)
My brother picked his up for $300 with bad tires that were replaced.
So Im am shopping around for some new tires, dont need them yet but wanna know before hand.
I would love to see the tire run maybe just slightly wider then the wheel. If I wanted to go with a stock GP height and the wide tire what would you recommend any thoughts?
245/45/18. or 255/45/18 if you have room.
Yeah I got my dimensions figured out but i have heard that brand by brand tires can fit differently is this true?
Slightly, but most are going to be similar. Mastercraft tires are more squared on the edges than others. BFGs seem to have even more square edges than those. Search online and look at the tire photos before buying. The Mastercrafts I am using seem to have a nice edge on them and are fatter in the middle than the rim, so they look like they belong there.
would bonneville sle chrome whels fit? tires are 235/55 r 17
bonneville sle chrome rims
What about GTO rims?
PONTIAC GTO set of 4 rims & tires
Send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you a couple shots of my 235/55R17 tires. Mine rub, but if you have a different offset, they might not. It's only about 1/2" larger diameter than stock size, but it's also wider. I'll have to see if I can dig up the offset info. I found out one time and have forgotten.
