Thread: Tire Size??

Stick with the 245/45/18's.

buy the same size. that is the closest to stock overall diameter you can get.

they also shorter than stock and will increase your wheel gap and look retarded.

your choice.

245/45/18 and 245/40/18 are the same width of tread, but the sidewall is smaller. the second number is an aspect ratio of the first number, so the sidewall height is a percentage of the tread width.

just run with 245/45/18 and be done with it. 235/50/18 isnt the best size.

Tire sizes are figured out this way

245/45/18

245 is the width in millimeters

45 is the section width to determine the sidewall height so 45% of 245 mm is the height of the sidewall

18 is the rim size

So if you want to figure out the diameter you do this

245/25.4 = 9.65"

(9.65 x .45) X 2 = 8.685

8.685 + 18 = 26.685" tall

too much math for me. this is easier to remember: 245/45/18 = good

235/50 are fine, but will look like off road tires..

just stick with 245/45s
