Hey you guys quick question. I've asked in the chatbox but just want to be sure. Can I run a 18x7.5 rim on 225/50 tire? Picked up some tires for cheap and I want these Rims or similar hopefully lol. What do you guys think of pep boys rims? Bad idea?

yes, a 225mm wide tire is a little over 8" wide. you could run it on a 9" wide rim if you wanted to stretch it a little.

I like those. People will run stupid narrow tires on some wide wheels, so a 225 on a 8 in wheel isn't that bad of a stretch.

i've seen some pretty stretched tires on way larger wheels..you'll be fine

For a street car the tire should be around 1" wider than the rim if you're running 16's or so.

I would not put a 225/50 on a 9" wide rim.
I know the look your going for and its cool but not on GPs. GPs have too big of fenders to do that.

For me its the tire fits the wheel. Wide wheels, wide tires.
I know the Subarus and other AWD cars don't really need very large tires. My roomie had a WRX for a little while and ran 225s.
