In addition to upgrading the sound system a bit, I might also be in the market for new shoes in the future. I have a silver GT and would like to go with 18s (I had a truck with 22s and have no desire for overly large wheels). I currently have the stock chrome 17s which work nicely for a winter wheel, but would like to change it up for summer. I have always thought that black or black/machined look good on silver cars. I would just like to get some opinions (agreeing or dissenting) and ask for some pictures of others' setups. Many thanks.

    Black is kinda boring.

gunmetal might be a better idea.

    Or black and chrome/aluminum.

Man, you're just all over the place. But thanks for taking the time to respond again. Any pictures out there with silver and gunmetal or black/aluminum?

    Those would be ideal.

If you use the tirerack website i believe you can view those on your car.

I will be very interested to see what those look like on a silver car. I was peeking at a couple while at TireRack:

American Racing Phantom Machined w/Black Accent

American Racing Villain Machined w/Black Accent

I would go with an 18 in the elbrus for your car. Can't go wrong for $99 each if you can get decent shipping or have them installed there.

Meh, never been a fan of a machined face. I would just stay chrome...or gunmetal like Matt said.

start looking for bolt pattern 114.3, you will find more wheels that you like. i personally hate every single wheel that has been showed in this thread so far. as for the color, go with black, gunmetal or hyperblack.

I wasn't aware we could use 114.3, I thought it was strictly 115. Not sure that I have heard of hyperblack. Is it similar to black chrome?

Seems like gunmetal is a popular choice. Anyone have it on a silver GP?

    I do.

Yes its a 97-03, but gives you an idea. Mine may be a tad darker than Gun Metal, but you get the idea.
