well oops I filled my car with diesel.
Your post said 245/40/17 holmes on a 9 inch wheel with et24. so yeah
I used that site too, look up baker d , he did some wideness wheel and wheel stretching

Correct, I did 245/40/17. What I was getting at was a rubbing issue while turning, meaning I should not have any with that size tire.

It did make me start reading Baker thread again. Now if some stubborn people would read it they might find the answer in their crystal balls.
He went through 18 x 8.75s at et20 with different size tires.
Either way Ram with that size wheel it really wont look "right" without some magic.
If it is the rub that concerns you then just put the rubber bands on
