keep the same stock overall diameter and youll be fine. 245s go on those wheels no problem.

I found a set of 255/50X17 would they fit?

^yes, just 10mm wider then 245's
I would run 245/50/17 but I didn't want my tires to cost another +$150. So I just bought some 245/45/17, speedo is 2 mph off, but doesn't bother me. Plus I'm going to be running this car into a pile of rust, so no biggie.
