Here's my question. the bullitt style rim wasn't any special option with the mustang was it? i know what they look like but i just want to get it straight that these things aren't exactly rare or anything, are they? i know what style or mustangs they came on. i guess my question would be, can you find these at a salvage yard? i wont have the money anytime soon, as i'm still working on the painted crosslaces but i'm just curious. thanks

No, they aren't rare at all. I guess you could probably get lucky and score some at a salvage yard. I see them on Craigslist pretty often for reasonable prices and usually with tires.

Umm I am not to sure but I can almost guarantee you will not find these at a junk yard. I think they were offered as an option on the mustangs? (correct me if I am wrong and I probably am) No they aren't rare everyone and their cousins have them, bullits have been around for a long time.

torque stars are ugly. the regular polished 5-spokes are the best. i actually bought my car because it had these wheels on it and not the torque stars.

yeah polished would be nice. others of us are stuck with the white ones. wth was pontiac thinking? another thing about the bullitts that came on the mustangs... are some a deep dish style and others not?

stock bullitts arent deep dish, but you can get them aftermarket.Look around on craigslist, got my black bullitts for 500 with sumitomo z rated tires that were brand new. Some guy totaled his stang and the rims were perfectly good, thats what you gotta look for

the deep dish ones might cause rubbing issues depending upon which offset you get. to be safe you should probably stick in the mid 30s, but if you want some super wide rims and tires youll need to get the low offset ones (~24 offset), but youll more than likely need to roll your fenders. i have mine rolled already since it was easy as crap, but i am planning on running some 17x9 cobra wheels.

hmmm... bio, i gotta say i am fond of the cobra wheels also. ill have to keep my eyes open for the bullitts or cobras. never would i own a mustang but those wheels are BEAUTIFUL. If only the firehawk rims would fit

better yet, i wish they made C5 replicas for our cars. i had them on my 96 TA (profile pic) and they looked amazing.

$250 from a mustang guy that was parting out his car. they are little used, but i dont care how they look so much as how they function.

true that. sounds like a pretty good buy. i think i'm going to go ahead and get my pcm programmed first then work on some new rims. by the way...all of these companies seem to program the pcms for using premium fuel. having only a gt, is there any that can leave that part out? mostly i want to delete the speed limiter and find a way to get rid of that second gear lag.

get a PCM. that'll go away, but youll have to run premium with it for sure.
