I have been looking on and off for wheels and might have found some that I like. I've been through Bio's post on wheel stuff but just want to double check before I spend the coin since I've never bought a set of aftermarket wheels.

Wheels I'm considering are 18x8, center bore of 73.1 (have hubcentric rings), offset is 45mm, which to my knowledge equals about 6.27 on backspacing. Planning on running 235/45/ZR18 tires.

What I need to know: Will these clear my Impala front brakes, and do I need to do any fender roll work? I'm lowered on Eibach's also if that matters.

I would think you'll have serious rub, especially in the rear. I was on 18x8.5 +35 running 245/45/18's on Eibachs and had to roll rears to clear.

Other way around it would be to run -3*+ camber in the rear.

Since these are a 1/2" narrower wheels, would I still need to roll the rears? Is it the offset that messes it up? I'm not really well versed in wheel sizing just yet so just asking to gain knowledge before I get into something that I don't really want to blow extra money on. Plus I need to make sure these clear my front brakes (which I would think they will since my stock 16's clear them).

The 1/2" is counter by the higher offset, yeah. It's pushed out 10mm, which is slightly less than a half inch, so your setup would fit very similar to mine.

I would expect to roll rear fenders.

I’m lowered on the GMPP kit. The first set of 18’s I had were AE077’s. I think they were 18x8, +40. I had to roll the fenders.

With the fenders rolled I have had no issues with the last two sets of 18’s I had.

    I believe the black 18’s were 18x8, +35 or +40. Can’t remember.

My current wheels are 18x8 +35 and no issues with rolled fenders.

I guess it was 7 years ago.

Mike, maybe the rolling was necessary because our cars are a different series.
I have a roller I may never use again. $45 from ebay and worked like a charm on my 08,535xi
