just picked these up for a steal $520 shipped to my door including taxes

    AVID.1 Wheels: AV-20 17x9 Machined Rims

picked up the flat black ones but same specs as this 17x9 +35 offset

less than 20lbs (19.8) and wide enough to fit a 255 on it and keep the tire shop people from telling you that you don't know what youre doing because your 20 years old and theyre 50 (that came from the heart haha).

want to put some 255/45/r17 continental DWS06 on them I just picked up a fender rolling tool but looking at the specs of the wheel and tire ill be just a little bit over 40lbs a corner which seems huge to me compared to my setup now which is probably over 50lbs per corner and 30mm less tire width per corner.

just want to see what everyone thinks about the tire size on a 9 in rim and if it will fit good for me on my lowered setup also if I should get the dws06 or look into something else

hey everyone I snagged these a few days ago let me know what you think.

    https://www.samsclub.com/sams/275-40...rod17810028.ip

total was $490 after tax for the set of 4 and is going to cost $60 to get all 4 mounted and balanced currently at $1090 for the complete wheel and tire package including the fender tool and I plan on selling my old rims for around $200 so this will basically be the price some people pay for just tires for a pretty clean set IMO. ill post pics of the rim and tire once they mounted maybe gets some weight measurements but wont have them on for a while. planning on rolling the fenders and having a body shop guy I know take care of any rust problem areas on the fenders and maybe respray the bumpers (previous owner didn't sand them when he painted them and they are chipping MAD).

9" wheel is probably at the limit. Seems a little odd to me not to go with 18's for brake upgrade/swaps so the calipers clear.

It's our second set of those tires in 235. There was cash back until like the 12th on Tirerack. Paid $460 after $70 rebate w/free 2 year road hazard.

yeah I originally wanted to do an 17x8 but I found these 17x9 on a closeout cheaper than any new wheel I was looking at and only 1lb more still 7 lbs lighter then my current rim and that's cool im glad to know you got a second set of these tires they must be good right was worried on the quality since they seemed to good to be true.

also I already did the f-body brake upgrade with ss lines and that is extreme stopping power to me lol don't think my eyeball sockets could handle anymore stopping power and they fit good with the current 17s I have on now

yea body shop guy i know said its not bad and rust could come back anyway so he told me to just leave it luckly the structure of the car isnt as rusted and strut towers are super clean may just spray some anti rust vht spray i have on the fenders to give them some more time the chipping does have to be pointed out to notice as its under the fender

rims and tires - Google Photos

I finally got them on had to add some quarter inch spacers in the rear to prevent rubbing the trailing arm and had to get longer wheel studs to compensate for the spacers but IMO its the perfect amount of fitment in both the front and rear I just tossed new pictures in the same shared folder here's the link didn't get a pic of the whole car with them on really just got some fitment photos and a pic of the front with the F-body brake kit I think these things will look amazing while rolling

thanks the spacers and longer studs was a hassle but i noticed one of my sway bar links was bad and its still under warranty so orilleys let me upgrade to brand new moogs on both sides for only like $2 more even only one side was bad so thats a bonus and im making centering rings for the spacers right now since they are just the universal ones from oriellys also did a wot pull from 20 and these things GRABBED normally from 20 id be fighting for my life to keep control due to torque steer and tires not gripping but now its smooth and pulls

okay ive been driving on these for about a month and a half and my fronts already have some bad wear on the outside? all suspension parts are fairly new except struts and alignment was recently done 6 months ago? I do also notice on certain parts of the freeway (seems to be roads with deep groves) I get a very slight sway so slight that the car still drives perfectly straight and passengers don't notice unless I point it out but when I do they can easily tell. im lost at what this could be maybe my steering rack? both inner and outer tie rods are fairly new and have no play. let me know what you think this could be?

Don't believe it has a warrenty but I changed everything right before the alignment only thing new I put on is this rim and tire combo but even before these they were wearing on the outside also I have about 1.5 degrees of negative camber in front which makes the wear being heavy on the outside really strange

I know you said the suspension parts are relatively new, but did you do control arm bushings? Other than that have you checked your tire pressure? Maybe underinflated?

control arms are the most recent suspension component. did them a little before winter and they are zzp tubulars with the brown and green heavy duty mevotech ball joints and I was thinking under inflated at first to but even a bit over inflated (42 psi) they are still wearing the same

now that im not in denial im realizing how much play my steering wheel actually has I was moving it about an inch in each direction will going 50 mph and driving perfectly straight no input to the wheels it does make driving in the snow tough because I have to constantly adjust but I just dealt with it because its not something id pay $200 and a weekend of time to fix but if its roasting my tires then it will pay for itself in no time I feel car has 195k miles btw so a new rack wont be bad regardless
