unfortunately i have 2 new sets of 17" tires sitting here.ive gone through many tires and wheels over the last year, just trying to pick a 17",that looks fairly decent, use a set of tires i have, and get rid of everything else! i should deal in used tires and wheels with what ive had going on the last 8 months or so! haha

just a fyi... i ordered 1 rim to see how it would look/fit...ended up being 26mm wider than factory causing to much of it to stick out of the wheel well...sending it back. i mis-read the offset on the new wheel which is 34 mm

Okay, that's a wider wheel than stock by an inch. The offset is roughly 20mm lower than stock, so a little more than .5" further out too.

Uhm, huh? The stock wheel is 6.5" wide. The higher the offset the better the wheel will sit in the well. With the an inch wider tire and almost the lowest offset, the stated +34mm offset would mean they will stick out. Noticeably.

That's in the sticky right here, iirc.

I was ok with a little stick out,but yea...this was too much for me,i can send it back for free [within 2 more days..] and start over,i really liked the wheel to be honest, and was hoping it would sit better than it did I think for some reason I replaced the 34 mm with 54? hell I don't remember what I did...haha

that sounds like it would have sat fine with the suspension loaded.

people run wheels that are 18x9 +30mm that stick out a touch, but a 17x7.5 +34mm doesn't stick out at all...

I guess I kinda wanna know, did you have it on the ground and did they rub? That's a pretty wide tire. Actually, that rim is the same size I'm looking at getting in a different rim. That's now obvious even to me, Mr. Scold-You-On-Numbers. (Sorry about that.)

Those are 17's, right? What size tire? The tire brands can run a little different. I have BFG Comp-2's that size and are 235/55r17's. Would you say it was uncomfortably close, or why the concern? Thanks in advance.

so the rim is actually a 17x7 ,not 7.5,i did not have it loaded, just front end up.im using factory tire 225 55 17. i thought of running lugs on but was scared i'd scuff it all it up and they wouldnt take it back, obviously i need to actually tighten it up and lower the car onto a block or something to get it loaded,i actually have a 4x4 with rubber attached for this purpose back in the lowered truck days... Sauk Rapids- the rim wasnt even close to the caliper,at least a 1/2 inch more than the factory wheel, and like i say..i didnt have it loaded or a tire on to see about wheel well issues. i will report back tomorrow with my findings
