HID Headlights, not sure!

Hello, im going to buy some new HID headlights for my 98 gtp. Im looking for a very deep blue color and with the research ive done, the 10000k lights seem to be the bluest. But im just not sure if i have to buy an entire HID kit, to have these headlights work. And i am also going to change my fog lights to the same thing, would i need to buy 2 HID kits then? Can someone just explain what i need for 10,000k headlights and foglights to work properly. thanks

For starters you will need 2 kits then, I think if you get the good kit they should come with relays that will take the load off of the headlight circuit. From what i know the 10000k is going to be a good choice for blue, if you go any higher it will start to be a purplish light.

the kelvin rating on all the bulbs is pretty much an opinion. its SUPPOSED to be this:

4300K - bright white
6000K - ice blue
8000K - blue, getting towards purple
10000K - purple/pink

i ran 6000K HID bulbs and they looked ice blue, which i liked. the higher the kelvin rating, the lower light output youll get.

some one told me recently that in order to get a more controlled beam with HID bulbs you have to have a lens for them to shine through other wise its just scattered light is this true

DDM makes a good kit. I installed a set on my brothers motorcycle and on his friends motorcycle. They have ahd no issues. The 35W kit is all you really need. That provides enough light. I usually run a relay harness with HIDs. The DDM bi-xenon kit might come with one. You will definitely need one if you aer going to get the 55W kit.

Currently I have 35 w projector hid fog lights (blazer brand, sharp cutoff) that outperform the oem headlights, I would like better headlights But I wont use hid ion them until I have time to retrofit oem projectors from a car that came with HID.

im thinking about going with the blue tinted halogen lights, even though they may not be as bright, there cheaper and easier to put on. anyone got any good brands they know of?
