GXP Transmission Question?????

Recently my 06 GXP trans has been acting up. 1st, 2nd, 3rd are great and perform just fine. Problem is somewhere in 4th at around 65-70mph it will jump in rpm's from 1800 up to abt 2300 and back down again. Just today while accelerating to pass on the highway it stayed in 4th and shuttered pretty bad. Fluid is 5000 miles old. Did complete flush (including converter) and replace filter and gasket. Used DEX 6 Valvoline full Synthetic. Any one else had these problem??
 


I unfortunaley didnt do it personally. I have a good friend that runs a shop here in STL and I purchased 14 quarts based on what he told me his machine required. I know if you just drain the fluid and not the converter its only 7.4 quarts. I check the fluids weekly because of the mileage I drive and it is perfect everytime in the last 5000 since the change. I'm clueless...

does sound like the converter is dropping out of lockup and slipping when in lockup. get ahold of trippleedgeperformance.com and that the man you need to talk to.
