Choosing the right (s)way

I currently have a crack on both ends front sway bar. I am looking to upgrade both the front and rear on the GTP.

After research I have come up with these options I would appreciate feed back on.

Money is always a factor so I am looking for responses pertaining to the cost to performance ratio.

a) 3800performance SLP Front & Rear package: $329.99

b) ZZP Progress Front Sway & GMPP Rear Sway: Total Cost: $214.98

In regards to the links I read here to replace them with Moog links and tighten them all the way. Does this apply for the SLP package as well?

Thanks in advance.

I have the GMPP front and rear and no complaints there, I do believe they are one of the cheapest sway bars on the market. I have heard nothing but good things about the DOORMAN(Spelling) Front sway bar. Should check that one out.

Thanks for the feedback sdavis. I have looked at the Dorman and agree with you. How ever up here in Canada the NAPA that supplies them wants 176 for it. I am unable to find a spot that will sell it for cheaper. Any thoughts?

Maybe check Amazon or eBay for cheaper ones. A member on here got a dorman for cheap off amazon. I also picked my front sway bar and links up from eBay for $80ish shipped. Mine is not a dorman tho, still a solid. I don't have it installed yet so I can't say how it performs.

The dorman front and addco rear is supposed to be a good setup. Sure as hell looks good sitting in my closet :th_shakinghead1:

Where are you located.

I got mine for $130.

I'm on the opposite side of toronto.

However see partsource and see if any car clubs have accounts with them. Or a university/college that has an auto program.

Or try a uniselect parts supplier.

Okay thanks for the tip. Just check their website they don't have a product search so I will give them a call.

I'm getting the feeling that the SLP options is a waste of money, and the Dorman / GMPP combo is the way to go.

I will keep you update with my research.

amazon.ca doesn't sell car parts IIRC.

You could also see what rock auto wants for one with shipping.

Seems like they'll want around $130 shipped.

I've been told rock auto shipping includes brokerage and customs and what not.

Never checked into it myself.
