Both Doors Leaking - Help...

Both my doors on 2000 GTP coupe are leaking. They are leaking from the outer molding strip - the pc that sits just below the mirror. They are not sealing good to the window and water goes inside the door panel then runs down and into the back floor pan. I called the local dealer they said $92 ea. I pulled one off a car at the junkyard it's doing the same thing. Is this common problem? Anyway to fix? Anyone know a source that is a better price.

Pontiac gave me a new pn 10326349 / Old PN 10437139

Both sides - the water enters the door panel right by the mirror and drops down by the speaker then goes over the inside molding and spills in the back floor pans.

gm parts direct will have a better price if you can get the part number.

never really heard of this happening, but it does happen if the rubber gets old and starts to dry rot.

really common on 80's cars.

Fixed - at least drivers side- I was a dumb ass and left the inside strip off when I was testing which is needed to push the window tight against the outside strip. I think the mirror is what is leaking on the pass side.

Actually, the inside strip doesn't really make a difference. Both doors are leaking right at the mirror where the two pieces of weather strip meet at the corner. The water runs down along the window run channel inside the door panel. I can seal it with putty from the outside, for testing. Since this is a tough spot to get to what is the best thing to use to seal it up? This is driving me nuts, I have already fixed 3 leaks since I bought the car 2 months ago.
