Got rid of my 06 silverado z71, and picked up my new ride. a 2005 pontiac grand prix gt. it is black with all leather interior and every option you can get with this model. bought it with 43525 miles on it for 12300$. bluebooks for a little under 15k$. im driving over 500 miles a week so the gas is definately saving me a little cash in gas as i average about 29mpg with this and got about 17mpg with my truck. anyways this will be my build log to show my progress. my build will consist of

1-sundown audio nightshade 18 d2 (custom made with a hard 4 spider pack, add on cooling option, and a longer copper coil)
1-sundown audio 3000d wired at 1 ohm
1-kinetik 2400 in the trunk
1-kinetik 1800 under the hood
1-mechman 250 amp alternator (still need to purchase)
1-set of ID oem 6.5's up front
1-set of bluapunkt vc100's up front
1-sundown audio 100.4 (powering the oem's and vc100's active
1-pioneer 800prs running the oem's and vc100's active
wire is all knukonceptz and kicker hyperflex

my box will be 5ft^3 after port and sub displacement tuned to 32hz. it will be completely sealed off with the subs and port firing into the cabin. (seats fold down FTW)

the 2400 will be housed in the trunk, and the im not sure what im gonna do with the amps yet, i think im just gonna make a custom false floor and mount them there somehow. i usually just go with the flow and design from there

well lets get this started. i will keep updating this with my progress as i go along. keep in mind i work 3rd shift and have a very time consuming girlfriend so progress may be slow, but stay tuned as im hoping to break 150 with this setup. wish me luck...

here are some pics of the car to get it started, little dirty but they work. subscribe now!

there will be more pics updated this weekend as i have 3 days off and will be hopefully installing my whole front stage. stay tuned as my new 100.4 will be coming in tomarrow

well the biggest thing i have to do is make my box which with the way i wanna place the sub and the box. its gonna be pretty tough to design. i think im gonna have to build the box inside the trunk, instead of building it and then sliding it in.

only thing i still need to purchase is my new alternator, other then that i have everything for the build.

should be getting the front stage installed this weekend so i will keep updating this with all the pics i take

well i had a package show up today....

N/A as in Naturally Aspirated I think... lolz... Not/Applicable to this post... but least you get the idea.. =-P

Are you using 12ga Speaker wire? And that amp is quite sweet indeed.

I have my Kenwood KAC-X4C and soon hopefully an X1R to be installed as well. I also got my Soundstream Power Plant to add to the trunk to better manage my wires and I am going out this weekend to hopefully get my MDF board to create my custom sub box for my newly arrived Power Akoustics Fubar 10's I have :)

well for my front stage, the speaker wire will be 12 guage.

but its a different story for the sub.....

8 guage FTW!!!

heading out to the garage to make my baffles now

well here are a couple pics from the baffle progress for my 6.5's. you can see the stock baffles in the pic and they have alot of curves in them and im trying to achieve the same depth.

and here are some pics of the 800prs installed. i still need to modify my mounting kit and fill in the pocket underneath the deck. i dont like the look of that pocket there, and then another one under my heat controls. ill end up tackling that another weekend.

sorry no pics of the install of it yet, but i will snap some pics of that when i go to clean up the wires behind it and run my new rca's

i cant wait either. its gonna be done in spring when the weather here gets better but trying to get alot out of the way now.

i just made all my baffles tonight in 5 degree weather. it sucked but it will be worth it.

coming along great. that's how i plan to run my speakers and subs when i get to overhaul my set up 12 gauge for speakers and 8 for subs.

now i dont feel left out. when i told people on here i owned sundown product no one had a clue what they were. very good so far man. i am anxious to see the final result
