Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

99-03 grand prix 8000k 9007 hid conversion kit

I have 6000k. They have a blue tinge to them during day/dusk. As night comes on they're more like arctic white.

Here's a thread that compares 6000k to 8000k:

North American Impala Owners Association - 2006+ Interior & Exterior MODs - 6000k vs. 8000k HID in 2006 Impala

Make sure to pay close attention to the night shots since that's when cops will get you since HIDs (especially the blue ones) are illegal in a car that didn't come with them. 6000k just gives clean light that won't draw attention.

yep thats what i was looking for exactually... Koo man so I would be better off goin with 6000K then? I like the 8000K better though, cops dont really mess with me around here bc I know all the cops bc ive been in this town for so long. If so man would you recomend me goin threw that one on ebay or can you help me out with a good set somewhere else?

8000k aren't as bright as 6000k in terms of usable light.

ZZP sells kits, eBay sells kits, tons of private vendors sell kits... They're all more or less the same once you get them out of the package. I bought mine from a vendor www.higherlevelauto.com . He's a sponsoring vendor of NAIOA, and he offered me a military discount. :)

I don't know about GPs, but on Impalas and Montes you run the risk of damaging your stock wiring or blowing fuses if you don't run a relay harness. HIDs draw a lot more power than halogens during the initial warm up phase. After that, the power draw drops to below that of halogens yet still retain more light output.

oh ok then i will go with the 6000K then if it gives u better visiablity at night. I know you wouldnt steer me in the wrong direction at least I hope not lol. Ya man I will check them out and see what they have to offer me for what I am looking for.

Thanks

You will not be disappointed with 6000k. Most people I know that went with 8000k ended up swapping bulbs for 6000k.

Well from the sounds of it everyone is telling me 6000K. So I am more leaning more to them instead of 8000K but I only like the blue tint you get from the 8000K but looks arent gunna help me see to much lol...So im most likely goin to run 6000K for sure...
