my transmission slips in 1st gear. that's basically my problem. i need to figure out the best solution, i plan on building the car to do maybe 12s, but still be a daily driver. another problem is it seems somewhere between 45-50 at normal acceleration, it slips down a gear, if that makes sense. like, i'll be accellerating and it will just downshift a little. idk, if you need clarification just let me know..
 


sounds like a pressure issue. My 98 olds intrigue had the same problem. Slipping on take off and a "flare" when going into final gear (o/d) I thought the o/d problem was a bad 4th gear but I took a chance and just had the EPC solenoid replaced and sure enough 4th gear works well now. You may find that dropping the gear shifter to 1st on take off will stop it from slipping, due to higher line pressure. Unfortunately the EPC is not a cheap fix...
 
Any codes??? First off you need to take the car in question to a trans shop and have it scanned for codes and then report back here with the findings then someone maybe able to help you
