Hey everyone, My girlfriend and I are planning a car show to benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer research and awareness. It will be at Floor & Decor at the intersection of Cobb Parkway(Hwy 41) and Barrett Parkway on Sunday Novermber 15th, 2009.

I was thinking since the paulding county dragstrip meet died away this could be a good place to have one. I would love to see a good turnout from the gp community there.

There will be a car show competition along with a show 'n shine. The categories are not yet completely decided but the show is open to all cars (classic, muscle, tuner, etc.), trucks, motorcycles, and other (we have a show tractor coming if that helps explain the other category lol).

Registration for the competition is $20. The Show 'n Shine (show off your car next to the cars in the competition, like a cruise in) is $15. General Admission is $7. Kids 10 and under get in free!

100% of every dollar made will go to the Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer research and awareness.

There will be a stage with live music and a DJ between bands, Children's activities including; moon bounces, face painting, and law enforcement vehicles for an up close look, as well as food and vendors.

well i just realized that the post said it was november 19. that is wrong. i just want to make sure everyone knows that it will be SUNDAY NOVEMBER 15, 2009.

also, the website is up and running for the most part. it is www.ridesforracks.com go check it out. and please if you plan to attend pre-register online. we are very near the cutoff date to pay for the park and we are running short on money. if we cant pay them we cant have the show so please pre-register and/or donate through the website. thanks.

great! yeah mine wont either but itll still be in it right next to the girlfriend's focus lol yeah i posted it here, clubgp, ls1 tech and a freind of a friend posted it on fnsweet.

great! we're expecting a big turnout. word has spread all to the way to alabama and people have registered and plan to come from all the way out there! and we have a couple large mopar clubs and a roush club coming but no large gm club coming so anyone that comes make sure you put GPF as your club affiliation so we can win best club turnout. so far its looking like deep south mopar is gonna take it but i think we can beat them!
 


hell yeah! now the only thing we have to worry about is who gets to take home the best club turnout trophy! :th_thumbsup-wink:
 
im out, the car is having issuies. finally got a pulley on it and the belt keeps sliping off. also needs some tuning done. keeps going into limp mode
