04 grand prix gt accleration problems

Ok wasnt really sure where to post this but here goes my gf has an 04 gp gt that according to her step dad the motor blew cause we ran synthetic oil blah blah but.not the point question i have is when it comes to.hills her car doesnt like accelerating up them at all even if she tries to floor it what could that be her last engine did the same exact thing any advice would be helpful i have an 01gtp and my way arpund both engines pretty good

Clogged exhaust, like the cat??

Should i do seafoam or just replace the cat i did seafoam on my gtp and throttle response was way better than when i 1st bought the car

pull the upper o2 sensor, if it runs stronger with the exhaust leak the cats clogged.

you can also drive it spirited if you will at night, then pull over to see if the cat is glowing red.

the cel ever flash? that can lead to a clogged cat as well.
