I remember you sticking up for the car recently. Give her a kick in the tire, she'll know you are pissed at her.
She knows, just an "idle" threat. So I went through 3 injectors before I found a good one. Going to have to get my cleaner/balance tester up and running. Really wish I bought this car in December, the fire in the sky is out in full force.
I did get it fired up, but shut it down before it found its legs. After I let it sit for a few and pulled the dipstick cleaned it and it was WAAAAY up. Jacked the car up and started changing the gas err oil. Wow, man I hope I didn't kill this engine. It was all oil at first then nothing but oil gas mix, probably an extra quart. Hope I didn't score the wall. Then what will I do when the naysayers want me to repeat my compression test? Right now it's draining and I can literally (the actual meaning of the word) see the fumes rising from the oil catch pan. I'm letting it drain for a while. Think I'll remove the fuel pump relay and crank it until the light goes out. Thoughts?

I think you'll be ok. These motors are tough. They'll take a beating and keep on going.
I bled air out of my rack in the middle of an oil change. Fired it up.. turned the rack back and forth a few times.. turned it off.. walked around the car and said a few choice words about being absent minded. Filled it up with oil and it's got a good 10-15K more on it and going strong.
I let it drain for about an hour or more and placed oil into the filter to have it prime more quickly. I also have a steep driveway which is great for oil changes but horrible for checking fluid levels. It started with a tick from a lift r that seemed to bleed down (no surprise) and went away within a couple of minutes with it progressively getting weaker in sound as the time passed as expected. After that I let it get to temp shut it down and opened the cap to allow any fumes to vent and went inside. It ran fine today, well it ran as well as it did before.
I wasn't able to get the borescope in the spark plug hole so I wasn't able to get an inside look but I'm going to look for block numbers a little later.

Thanks, this has been as adventure for sure, I never seem to get easy problems. Luckily this car is really easy to work on and parts are plentiful for the time being. Next up I'm going to check and see if I can see a dished piston or one with reliefs...

If you took the time to look you could tell they are different cylinders. I see you are not a man of your word, and didn't' see it necessary post as most of the people saw that rant post. Let the cards fall where they may. 98 has serious attitude and doesn't mind if anyone notices. If he gets questioned about his military status, I think it's to be expected. Most military that I have known have learned discipline and self control and don't spend their active service time trolling internet forums trying to start fights. So I could understand where the doubt comes from.
