so which one were you? the guy spinning his tires through the snow?
fwd really aint no fun in the snow. unless you like the front end pulling you one way when the wheels are the other lol
the snow tires on my car keep it going pretty straight. with all the suspension work ive done, its hard to get the car sideways. and I cant help but think that the limited slip differential helps the car go straight.
i forget you got cool parts. its still no fun tho.
theres nothing like hanging the back end out for a few blocks at a time. or a simple controled fish tailing back and fourth. cant do that in fwd.
It's illegal here to shovel snow into the street.
Don't think that for one second it stops me from snow blowing my driveway out to there.
I work nights, and if the city and all my neighbors want to clear snow while I need to sleep, **** them when I need to clear it as fast as possible in the evening when I have to leave.
the guy doing the shoveling is retired, I see him working on his yard all summer, and keeps his sidewalks and driveway clean of snow in the winter. it must be his hobby
and it is illegal to do here, but I haven't ever heard of anyone getting a ticket for it
I wouldn't hesitate to go WOT to blast through some snow as long as I wasn't endangering others in the process.
^This^ That reason is why I LOVE to get my Vic out in the snow once in a while to have some fun, lol... Scares the living crap out of my wife though. I always get hit in the arm when I do it, but f it. I grew up on big RWD cars so it's normal to me. I love to find an empty parking lot devoid of light poles and just go nuts. Donuts, powerslides, reverse J-turns you get the idea. Never been ticketed for it either, even had an officer "monitor" what I was doing once. He did stop me on the way out and all I told him was I was testing the limits of the vehicle in certain situations in incliment weather. He just smiled and said to get home safely
lol ^^^^ been there done all that.
i got popped doing 300 foot long fish tails in my my old 77 caddy, swing it to the right, hold it sideways flip it the left for another 300 feet. did this for like 2000 feet or more, not knowing a cop was behind me the whole time due to snow over the back window.
went to court, and the cop downgraded it to bald tires lol.
pretty damn funny if you ask me. my wife gets mad at me all the time because she says my driving is erratic. the street dept usually plows the snow to the middle of the road and leaves a berm for people to drive over when they need to turn. sometimes the berm gets pretty high and the street dept will get out the mega snowblower and all the dump trucks will haul the snow blown into them away. a couple days I needed to turn around so I could park and the berm was just a little too high for me to easily get over, so I gunned it and turned and luckily made it over and was able to park. my wife didn't stop freaking out until the car was off. my front air dam got filled up with snow from that event. the only thing that bothers me about going wot is it makes the road slick, and so less fortunate people will have traction issues where I was having fun.
I love using my fwd as my personal snow thrower. I just aim the tires in the direction I want the snow to fly and then gun it in reverse / drive depending on which way I want the snow to fly. I have flung snow at my friends walking in front of the car so many times they make a point of walking around the back. Then they do crap like "accidentally" letting all the air leak out of my 200 gallon air tank. I have a crappy 4cfm oil lubed compressor so it takes like 20 minutes to fill it back up to 120psi.
