So Russ stopped by and I found out some LOL's

Basically the whole shop is in chaos. No one knows what the hell is going on. They still didn't have raw material. Then Dan, the supervisor, is basically changing the way EVERYTHING is done and the way things had been done since long before I started.

Russ built a bunch of shipping pallets exactly how I had laid out how they needed to be done. Dan comes over and tells him that he can't use the ones that don't have a heat treated stamp showing because customs will reject it. Another guy, Brandon, was in on the conversation and said something along the lines of, "Brian said those containers stay sealed until they get to the customer."

Dan replied, "I don't care what Brian said."

Another thing that is common at that place is still calling a now empty office the person's name who used to use it's office. Basically the office that my former supervisor used who hasn't been there for over a year is still called Jason's office, or the logistics office is still called Hillary's office, even though she hasn't been there for two years. Anyway, Russ was talking to Dan and said something about "Brian's desk" and Dan interrupted him and said, "We aren't going to do that anymore. That isn't Brian's desk anymore"

Another thing I was informed about was there was a meeting with managers and all that and they had Miguel, the pain in my ass sales rep, on the phone and apparently he got pissed and went off on everyone about how everything is so effed up and things aren't going to work this way and he hung up on them and wouldn't answer when they tried to call him back.

I will wrap it up with the best thing. Jason, the one supervisor who tried to deny that I was offered more money was talking mad sh!t on me apparently. He told Russ that I tried to scapegoat Mark, the owner, by using the "excuse" that the bills not being paid on time was why stuff wasn't done and that it was my fault because I didn't leave enough lead time. I guess Russ went off on him and basically told him he needed to stop talking about things that he had no clue about and walked away. Obviously the bills not being paid on time is EXACTLY why sh!t couldn't get done.

Anyway, tonight I go out to my buddy's shop to watch some dyno runs. Saw a 700 hp GTR there. Anyway, my buddy who owns the shop also happens to be Jason's brother. Jason was in the dyno room when I walked in. I looked at him and just smirked and walked over to where my cousin was standing. My cousin's GF told me Jason was glaring in my direction for a few minutes, then he walked out of the room and I didn't see him again the rest of the night. LOL

I have worked for some good bosses doing ****ty jobs, bad bosses doing jobs that I liked, and a couple that were outright crooks. One (that took over the company that I worked for) I basically had to threaten to burn down his house to get my paycheck. I got paid though ! My last boss talked out of his ass so much I couldn't stay, especially when I had the largest builder in Nova Scotia chasing me to work for them. The last guy was just a guy that told us how all these other builders were chasing him to do work for them (framing, trim, Hardie siding, etc). When I started he was telling me about all this work was lined up, yada yada yada. He was flying by the seat of his pants and really had nothing besides what we were doing at the time. He screwed over his business partner and another builder/developer that I lined up work for us through (something to keep us going...). With the slump in building around here, the best thing I did was take the job I am at now, and took it and negotiated my terms. I would much rather work directly for the builder than be a subcontractor here these days. Haven't looked back since and couldn't be happier. Well, I could use a raise, but that will be negotiated later, as the cost of EVERYTHING has gone up, but my salary has not...

I figured this thread was perfect to bump up considering some information I got tonight.

This all relates to the stories of the company I quit in 2014. I ran into a former colleague, who still works there, unfortunately.

Long story, short. The higher ups have been playing games to where if someone works overtime and it was "not authorized" they won't pay them for it. Someone got pissed and called Labor Relations. They came in and told them they are going to go back 2 years and can go back as much as 10 years for this.

In other quick news, several other people did get out of there some time after I left. Miguel, the sales rep who was a thorn in my side, was either fired or quit.

I honestly have no idea how the company is still alive. From what I was told tonight bedliner has not made any product in months.

I didn't directly bring the company down, but my leaving led to a cascade of other departures, which has led to where it sits today.

One, hopefully, last and final update to my saga of one horrible boss.

A few months back I went and saw some friends, one of whom still works for one of the divisions of the evil company I have spoken so highly of in this thread. Long story short, he informed the bedliner division, that I worked for and basically ran at the end of my time there, is no more. They shut it down and auctioned off the equipment. The thermoformer, which was a $1 million dollar+ piece of equipment when new, sold for a whopping $7500.

I guess the dragon is officially slain, and I could be seen as the dragon slayer.
