eh well that's you and not everyone is the same so people will continue to post about whatever they feel like. Personally doesn't bother me and i don't understand why it bothers anyone else. Just don't click the thread.
Doesn't bother me either but anytime you post anything don't expect everyone to agree with you. Opinions are just that opinions not everyone's going to agree or disagree with ya.
I do have suggestion that a moderator may be able to do. If someone comes here complaining about getting pulled for illegal tint, then for the next 7 days all of his posts will be displayed in purple (pink is too light on white background) color and using Comic Sans font . Or change the title to "Got busted by the police"
A few moderators on a different forum conspired and made everyone who didn't get donator title get stick with girly color and icky font. it worked although it was for one day only and many who didn't donate got back the normal color and font.
I don't think anything needs to be done. Just let those guys post and he or she might need to toss on their flame suit and prepare for opinions rather they agree with you or not.
Sounds like a bunch of ranting to me
lol this is almost longer than my members ride thread
All seriousness though there is plenty of guys on here who don't wanna hear it. you knew your tint was illegal when you bought it so therefore we don't wanna hear it
It may be against the law, but since there are so many people that have illegal tint and get lucky and not get caught, they feel they'll take their chances. When they get caught they say, "why me?" If they broke a different law, like speeding, they may not come here and complain about that now would they? No, because they feel it's a more "fair law".
Heck in Michigan it's illegal to tint your front windows at all. But my neighbor is a cop and he has the darkest tint on his front windows. I swear it's like 10% or something. I did brakes on his car and took it for a test drive, and I had to roll the windows down to accurately check for traffic before backing out of my driveway.
the "why me" is somewhat of a valid point I guess, but most of us not all that drive gp's either have mods, poor driving habits and such that draw attention to ourselves. Its like the studies where red cars get pulled over the most and red draws attention. My neighbor has a dark colored sienna minivan with at least 20% on the fronts do you think they will ever get pulled over for that? probs not. Not saying our cars are super flashy but its all relevant
the "fair law" thing is very touchy and can be biased. my senior year in high school we had cops sitting at the exits of the parking lot waiting for kids with tint. There was one cop in general that felt like he had to do that. There was mornings he was in the lot walking around making kids crack their windows just so he could test them. It didn't take long though and people started complaining about him sitting at the school all day doing that
This is true, cops will usually pull over someone with a sunroof open, music blasting, loud(but not illegal for example) exhaust, and tint, over a minivan windows closed and quiet with the same tint next to said car. But that's just how we like our cars lol. Not usually loud exhaust on v6's but the rest of the stuff. I don't have any visual mods, loud exhaust, or anything so my chances may be lower, but I'd still be taking chances.
And whether or not the law is fair or not is completely bias, there's really not a thing everyone in the world can agree on. I say if it's 20% or lighter on the fronts it's okay, but law says 0 tint is allowed there. It's harder to get rid of that law than it was to set it in motion.
That's funny, we had a cop that would sit in my high school lot, but only seemed to pulled over for illegal left turns since all but one driveway was right turn only.
Ranting sounds like fun. Tint is the least of my problems, but im not here to complain. I got lucky. My radar detector failed. Granted i've had it for close to 5 years (my guess is that its time for a new one haha) Check this out: Whislter Radar Detecter Failing - YouTube
Granted Ive been pulled over for MANY stupid things, has anyone ever been pulled over AND received a ticket for honking at one of your friends as you passed them on the street? Yup, I have. During normal business hours I did a simple *beep, beeep, beeeeeeeeeep* and got a $136.00 fine for excessive noise. A I fought that puppy in court---Note: don't do that.... The fine was then raised from $136 to $220. Because the state of Maine has nothing else better to do than to pick on teenagers. ::sigh::
So, when those people are *****ing about tint, just think about the above ticket. IT COULD'VE BEEN MUCH WORSE. haha.
haha that's the most ridiculous thing I've read on this forum and that's saying a lot. Never once did I say I didn't break the law. Never once did I say "why me" or that it was "unfair". All i said was I got a tint ticket at it sucks. period. end of rant. because whether you break the law or not getting a ticket sucks. So I will continue to biitch about anything i please. don't like it? Stop reading.
PA tint laws are so ****ed that I'm totally allowed to complain... if I ever get pulled over ;D I have a shade lighter up front, and being that the cops are lax in my areas about tint, it's kept me out of trouble.
Even though all the "tint law sites" say 70% is the max legal limit (stock privacy tint), if you check the actual law, it does NOT mention a percentage. It simply states an officer must be able to see into the vehicle.
People r still ranting about ranting wtf lol
