Dont hate

So I know its a tired subject but man I still cringe when I see stuff like this. All I wanted, all I wanted! Was just one more great TransAm or GTO and I see stuff like this and it just makes me long for Pontiac. Despite there horrible sales and there dying demographic the company had some great cars. IE the 1968 Pontiac LeMans, 64 GTO, even the original GPs were the stuff of car legend.

It just pains me to see a company with such a great History go down the way they did.

Well without further adieu the reason for all this rantings

And I know some of you will be unhappy to stir up this ol beast but hey what are internet friends for right?:th_laugh-lol3:

firebreather is a nice looking concept but only problem is is that its basically a cooler/meaner version of a camaro, no originality to it which is only downside, but yea pontiac made some bangin cars, as much as i like the GTO's now i wish they looked a little more like the 69 Judge (GTO)

I just never knew about the Firebreather. I think it would be worth having just for how rare it is. With the suspension upgrade and the 600hp tag I wouldnt mind it. Not gonna lie the thought has crossed my mind all night long. I know for 60K you could get so much more but I just like that its really a one of a kind.

**** id get the firebreather, but for 60k i might shoot for the vette but idk this car looks really really sick, just sucks that it lacks originality

I like how the steering wheel still has a chevy symbol though. Saw the Firebreather at Autorama Detroit 2 years ago.

Its different enough to be worth it too me, I would just love to see guys drop there jaws and scratch there heads as i rolled by!

Boosten besides the steering wheel any other thoughts on it?

yea i agree it is different enough for me to buy it, i would buy it hands down if they changed the interior a bit so it doesnt look exactly like a camaro lol

I personally like it better than a "Camaro" but it's still a heavy biitch lol. I'd much rather take a C6 Vette for the same price.

Well the quest to find one on eBay begins. I cant justify that price tag just quite yet, maybe latter this year or next. Id do it for mid 40s in a heart beat.

I saw two "transam's" like the one pictured by the OP at the Autoramma show in Dallas. I threw up in my mouth and then walked away.

There's been concepts of this done before. Not impressed. Still bulky, overweight, and unoriginal.

I would buy a new GT500 before I would buy one of these. Actually I would buy a C5 Z06 and customize it and be even faster

too many cars for less that can do more. besides, even car guys cringe when they hear pontiac. why? because first thing that pops up is "grand am".

I've seen more of those horrid things than I care to count- It's like Gotham City Built a Gen V Camaro... Still fat, slow, and even uglier than before.

Heh well ive never been one that needs a ton of speed since ive been in plenty of accidents. Yes its not original but it is different and thats what like more then anything. Yes it is fat and probably a bit of a cow to drive but I drive like an old man and just enjoying setting the cruise control most of the time. I doubt id be willing to pay sticker, but the chances of it popping up on CL and eBay are very far fetched. I make a good living and a new car like this is in my future.

Despite the horrible stigma behind the lack luster Grand Am I will still always love Pontiacs! Thats why ive owned four of them!

I agree it looks ok, but still not worthy to be called a T/A. Everytime a new gen T/A has come out in my experience, it has a bigger impact on me. That one just looks like a nicer camaro as some said.
