did you factor in your air fare and hotel stay to the price? If not you paid more than 7600 you can get them in tn in shape like that for about $5000 all day long

No hotel stay and had $160 in airfare.....and about $120 in fuel coming home.
I guess I should've posted a WTB here first.....I probably would've saved some $$.
Regardless of what I paid I just think it is completely wrong of a dealer to downright lie about there vehicle.

I was kinda in the same boat as you when I was looking to buy mine. I didn't care so much about the color. Don't get me wrong there were colors I just flat out didn't want, but of the others I didnt care. Almost all of them I looked at were either piles or they wanted WAYYY too much for them... Finally found a good deal on mine... Ironicly mine is red with a sunroof and leather...
That whine that you are hearing COULD be a wheel bearing....if it gets louder when you turn one way, and quieter turning the other, I suspect a wheel bearing. The side that bares the weight when turning will emit the noise....so, if you turn left, the weight is on the right, you can suspect a right side wheel bearing. Same goes for turning right, all the weight is on the left. If it makes noise turning left, its the right side, noise turning right, its the left... catch my drift?

Thanks for the info!! Its greatly appreciated! The whine seems to be better after rotating the tires. Its still there though....and even when going straight down the road. Sound reminds me of my old car running snow tires. Also seems to be coming from all of the tires.
Yes, Power steering was first place i started, and it was low. Filling the power steering didn't seem to change anything. When i was rotating the tires i noticed my outer tie rods need replacing and I'm replacing them within the next day or two. Going to look for any other possible suspension issues while the front wheels are off. Anything visually that may tell if the wheel bearings need replacing?
Thanks!
Nothing visually for the wheel bearings. Usually, they will go noisy and give you a whine or a drone when driving down the road, and become worse/better depending what way you turn. Sometimes, the odd time, they will develop some play in them, but they would be noisy for sure if that was the case.
If you have some suspension/alignment issues, the first thing to look at is tire ware. Run the palm of your hand around the inner and outer edge of the tread, both in the direction of travel, and opposite direction of travel, feeling for feathering/abnormalities. Check the ware of the tread, and make sure it is wearing evenly, and not scrubbing the inner or outer edge of the tire off.
My green 2 door is out of line, its wearing the outer edge off the right front tire real bad.. which leads me to believe I have a camber issue. It is extreemly noticable when you look at the rear tire, then the front. A simple alignment check would prove that.
If you have a toe issue, you would notice a pull when driving down the road. You might also see some feathering across the whole width of the tread.
Just a recap, toe alignment is where the front of the tires point inward or outward.
Camber is where, if you were standing directly over the tire, the top of the tire leans inwards or outwards
Your worn tie rod ends would cause your toe alignment to fluctuate in and out, and would eventually, if left unattended, would cause some feathering of the tread.
You SHOULD get your alignment checked if you had to do any suspension work or replaced tie rod ends. The whole counting turns thing is just a "rough guess" kind of thing.

Oh I agree I hate when people lie to me because it makes me believe you think I am stupid and that just ticks me off, I always say steal from me and maybe we can get past and be friends again lie to me and I need you to take your face away from me and make sure I never see it again.
Shoulda looked up some local members like me... I'd have went and kicked tires for ya for a few bucks in gas. I forget where the Chevy one is at(midwest city off I40 by tinker???) but Hudiburg is one of the BIG ones here. My first car came from there at some point as it had the badge on the back... 89 Chevy Celebrity shaggin waggon. We do have some of the most rust free cars in the country though. I'm originally from Michigan and within 4-5 years new cars had visible rust showing up there. I had a 73 chevy truck that was a farm truck its whole life and it barely had any more than surface rust on it.
It looks great man. I know you have listed a few problems right now with it but any car has that right. For that mileage and considering you got everything you wanted with no rust from the looks of it cant really complain. I wanna see a pic of that car all shined up and the tires just gleaming black. Nice car.
You had sucker stamped in the middle of your head. Even at that mileage that car is worth MAYBE $5000. Did you even check blue book value?
They could tell you were desperate and reeled you right in.
Kelly blue book is $8200 for retail.....something like $6800 for private party.

LOL, yeah I just did it too....several times. Dealer retail $8212 from kbb.com

If i remember correctly nada was only about $6700.
I had went back to the sales manager with a lower offer after finding the problems.....and he refused to make repairs or lower the price. I should have just walked away. Even with the issues the car had, it was the cleanest I had seen so far. And all of the issues were fairly minor....and easily/cheaply repairable. My biggest gripe with the dealer is the vehicle wasn't what they had described.

FYI most dealers use Nadaguides for value not kbb. Your situation does suck though because of the dealer not being completely up front. I woulda told them alright I'm flying back home and then just gone and had some lunch. Bet you would have gotten a call within a few hours from leaving.
