Enjoyed my 70 Dodge Dart Swinger 340, 4speed 4.10 gears ordered that way. As well as my 76 RamCharger 440 with Dana front and rear axles.
Now though, other than good commercials its a FIAT. The only thing that saved their "IRS"s is that Benz showed them how to make them.
Engine wise Dodge has always been pretty good. Transmissions have always been at least a struggle for them. My 727A would snap R which was also 1st band, but with the 440 it had enough to get rolling without issue. Our 88 1/2 ton was a great truck excluding the electronics in the Distributor and the trans that kept popping out of gear when it was put into Park the Pin would not always drop down to hold it.
Enjoyed taking the voltage regulator off of my 76 440 and using it on my 84 4cly Omni. Same part.
Oh the good old days. Most of you kids saw the junk of America growing up. Cars built in the 80s should have been band from existance no matter the Maker.
