I was plugging in my mouse to the PC the other day and I accidentally hit the screen with the mouse. It was really just a tap, but this happened anyway. It was a small line at first, but within 2 days it's gotten this big:

I've only had it for a little over 3 years.

Damn! Is its a lcd led or plasma? I did that but with a picture frame and since it was a faulty LG plasma I played it off as the tv just taking a crap and not me breaking it...

It's an LCD. It's over 3 years old so I don't think there's any guarantee left in it.

Bringing this thread back from the dead. This happened almost a year a go now. I bought a newer and larger TV after this happened. We moved the broken TV to a small clinic that the wife has and the "crack" grew even larger over the months.

On Friday she told me that the TV didn't have any lines or cracks anymore. I went over there yesterday to confirm it and it's true! haha! I don't know much about LCD displays anyone knows what could've happened?

There's absolutely nothing wrong with it anymore, no lines, no cracks nothing. We even brought the TV back home and put it in the bedroom.

Yes, when you hit the screen it basically pushed the liquid out and after awhile it slow moved back, some say to rub it with a cloth

It was a line of pixels all "stuck" displaying one color. There's different things( like someone mentioned rubbing, also programs that flash colors, etc.) that you can do to try and fix them.
