welcome to the rest of the world? literally everyone is on a pay increase freeze. why do you automatically get a raise because you were there another year (besides standard of living)?

but if you are making a person receiving already low pay (because they get good benifits) pay 600/mo for those benifits, then how can you expect to take that away and not give them a raise. If it were for all unions except firefighters, police officers, and teacher (police and ff are already excluded, what makes them privileged) then i would agree with it.

the only reason he is excluding them is because they voted for him.... the education system will suffer

it's already suffering and nothing has changed yet. our educational system (at least milwaukee i can speak for) sucks. i was a product of MPS and i made it out only because of my own efforts. the other 3/4 of my class may have well been metally retarded because they would have gotten farther in life.

it's not like he is picking specifically on schooling anyway. the whole point of this is that ALL state owned programs get picked on, but no one can see past that the schools are being robbed as well. this is a much easier solution than raising everyones taxes because then literally everyone will *****. ill admit that im a republican and i am all for cutting governement assistance programs, but i also know you cant just drop it all and hope for the best.

either way, ill support this until the end because it is the right thing to do in order to get our state out of debt. either that or we need to start selling weed.

I agree with you that something needs to be done ... and MPS is just a hellhole. but its gunna go alot further than just those bad schools, it will destroy the teaching in districts like New Berlin and Franklin, the districts that make WI #2 on test scores. But to each there own...
