I drive over 128miles each day round trip so running high mileage cars is all that maks sense for me...my first car a '68 Impala SS purchased in '76 was driven to 165miles when I moved into a '70 Nova SS that I ran up beyond 125miles. After A decade over seas I returned to buy and restore a CJ5 that I completely ran into the ground ,..over 200miles after a early 90.s restoration..my Monte was pickerd up with 125 miles and currently sits with 186miles. plans are to replace front bushings and tighten up the suspension.engine and tranny swap and just drive. will never purchase new det-riot

Everything depends on maintenance, take care of the car and the car will take care of you.
Follow regular maintenance intervals and don't abuse the car. My last car (Chevy) I owned for 15 years and 180k miles. Always ran great and only once left me stranded (fuel pump died). The car is still on the road and lives very close by. I simply got tired of driving it and wanted something different.

    64 olds jetstar 108K
    90 olds cutlass 155k
    01 GTP 70K

Not a lot of miles, but for their age they have no big issues, like motor and trans (for 20 years of daily driving with the cutlass). Just the usual stuff, brakes tires oil starter and batteries.

if you dont hit 200 K miles you're doing it wrong.

    Hondas hit twice that....

Guy at work had a caravan that hit 466 000 miles before he got rid of it.

Ive seen and worked on a few chevy trucks aswell as fords that were over the 500k mark still on the stock engines one had a trans swap and one had a rearend replaced otherwise besides the normal wear n tear still running strong

Its all in the daily monthly yearly care

I got almost 162k on my car. Bought it with 79k. Tranny's starting to get weak but the motors just as strong as ever! Now the car needs some TLC on the suspension and such but I think i'll get at least 2-3 more years out of it.
