Dish is terrible. We used to sell it at work but they got really bad and customer service so now we sell DirecTV. We have Dish at our house and we are thinking of switching. Direct is alot cheaper. Dish is raising prices and they are losing customers left and right. They will extinct before too long if they don't figure something out.
Dish is fine if you have proper space for it. Living in the "suburbs" means no space for a good position.
Dish is terrible, and more expensive. I have bright house and they are good to me. They have the fastest internet for the price too. I get 20megabit for $50/month. Dish network doesnt even offer that.
Theres 10-12 feet between houses....
fiber optic service = FIOS. a form of connecting to the internet.... it's also superfast (I think it was up to 124MbPS down). It's not available in all areas, and there are plenty of things folks have mentioned on here I've never heard of because they are regional.
this is primarily about cable tv.
My bright house is faster than the standard fios... unless you pay $200/month for 100mbit
what is brighthouse?
oh yeah, just for grins....
it's thunderstorming out right now and I haven't missed a second of the brazil vs chile match. :P
I called the dealer to ask about stuff and it knocked out their internet... hahaha
The best HD TV is actually free... and being broadcast over the air.
TV sucks anyways. Never anything on cept movies.
...when you are in an area that has reception.
go to AntennaWeb to figure out the best equipent you need for your address.... if rabbit ears don't work.
...the place I just moved into last week in Alabama gets NOTHING with rabbit ears.... and there's no NBC station in the area.. that sucks!
Time Warner is a joke
It's funny you mention this now.. I was just noticing the time warner service here has been pretty crappy the last few days. The internet randomly drops to 1-2 mbps when it should be ~16. The cable box takes far longer than normal to pick up the HD channels when it's first turned on too. Besides that, for the last 2-3 years, I couldn't have been happier with them (unless it was faster).
