alright so i got my windows tinted 2 weeks ago and this is how it turned out

^^ top left corner of this window is peeled

hard to see in this picture but the whole outline of the window is clear from where it wasn't pushed down (over the black dots) and there's a stripe down the window

^^more noticeable that the outline is visible. also notice the edges peeled up a little bit.

It's the same story on all the windows. I can even hear where the passenger tint peels when i roll the window up. Now I know the back windows can be taken care of from the warranty but the front windows aren't covered.

Long story short, don't ever take your car to best buy for anything

no one does warranty on the front since it's illegal. I might just complain until they fix it though, there is now way they can accept such poor quality. I've been looking at ever car with tinted windows i pass and the only ones worse than mine look like the DIY kits.

In MI your only allowed 4in of tint on your front driver and passenger windows and only 4in on the front windsheild. How dumb would that look?

yeah limit here is 35 on front windows and can't go below the AS1 line on windshield. So my front and windshield are all illegal and not covered by warranty

yea thats how we are in the windshield too, but just 50% for the whole front sides. Most peoples windshield tint strips are much lower then that but there normally not to dickish about it

They sound like they aren't too confident in their work. Won't warrant the rear or front sides. What makes the difference if its illegal or not when it comes to the warranty. I could see if they wouldn't do it at all if its illegal. Come on, sounds to me like a bunch of yayhoos who can't tint windows if they will only warrant side rear windows. BS. RANT!

Tell them that's some bull. Joel is right. The ONLY reason they won't warranty the front is if there are police issues. BUT. They should NOT give you your money back if you get pulled over for them. They SHOULD give you your money back if they F up as bad as they did.

And also, the only 2 reputable places around here that tint windows warrant the entire tint job, but you have to sign a waiver acknowledging that you understand that the tint is illegal and they are not responsible for any legal yada yada you come into. But, they do the job and stand behind their work. One shop gives a 1 year warranty and the other gives you a 2 year warranty.

The warrenty should cover the product.. the tint not where its installed... if the product is bad it should be covered. Even if its illegal, should be covered especially if you signed a "Off-road use only" disclamer... if you didnt sign one... they can get in trouble if you get pulled over for it.

Mn law 50% that is it... no tint on front window at all.

The company I went thru in Minneapolis,Mn... LIFETIME warrenty... werd!
