This post is dedicated to everyone, who has something crappy, and you just want to vent about it in here.
My rant.
Saturday 09/05/09. 10:00 am, Purchased a belt from autozone, and pulley, Gatorback 667. Found out i had a 20$ autozone credit on my autozone-points card. WOOPIE
12:00 pm: I had JUST installed my new gatorback belt, and tensioner pulley, to get the supercharger working since ive bought the car.. Got it all put together, and got to feel boost for the first time since owning my GTP. Felt great, check engine light turned off. I thought i was king of the world.
7:30 pm: I left the house, and got on the freeway to go to downtown to meet up a group of friends for a birthday party, LUCKILY i had a friend following me.
7:55 pm : after fuelin up, i proceed to get on the freeway onramp, and what to my suprise, No powersteering, no a/c, no alternator, and overheating.. guess what happend!!! DRIVE BELT POPS OFF. FREAKING GREAT. I was lucky enough to be 4 miles away from my house, so i manage to get home on just the battery, and the temps only made it up to about 220. I had my friend take me with them to the party.
12:00 am: we return home to inspect the car after the party.. Gatorback belt is still installed, and pulley is still perfectly tight.. due to this, the drive belt ALSo stayed on, but it was loose. unfortunatly it was pitch black out, and i had no way of seeing wtf went down.
9:00am Sunday morning 09/06/09
Inspection of the whole breakdown is done. The supercharger is leaking oil from the pulley, and splashing it everywhere, including the main drive belt. Everything was soaked in S/C oil..
3$ later from some carb cleaner, and everything is back together minus supercharger drivetrain.
OH WELL, guess ill have to rebuild it.
