Not that there is a RIGHT car to break into, but last night my car alarm on my Grand Prix went off about 1:00 AM. I go outside and shut it off. My wife had said she heard a loud noise. I didn't see any damage, but then again it was 1:00 AM. This morning, as she is leaving, she sees my F150 has a broken driver's side window. So I go out and look. The took the cradle for my satellite radio - that didn't have the radio in it! And they took the time to unplug the power and antenna connections. Idiots!
Why do I say the wrong car? Because my GP was right behind it, and the GPS and the actual Satellite radio, not just the cradle, were right there! I'm a bit upset that my F150 alarm didn't go off, and it took the GP alarm to scare them away. I'm glad I had tinted my F150, as it kept the window from completely shattering, and there is only the hole from where the broke in.
The possibly good news is that when I called to report it, the deputy sheriff who came out told me that down the street from my house was a break in, and those people had been caught. So it's possible my break in is related. Hopefully should have one of those mobile window crews out in the next day or two to replace the window.
