Yup. Had to order it first for themselves then send it out to you. They don't grind cams at zzp. Sounds normal. Should have mentioned it was out of stock and gave you heads up of a turn around time

I'd cancel just on principal... Any item they sell and ACCEPT payment for that is NOT in stock should require notification of back order. It isn't a good practice to do otherwise. I would contact them and say you've changed your mind and seeing as the item hasn't even shipped you want a refund! As mentioned, you can find those cams on re-sales and save even more.

Vs is such a waste for the price new. Now if you find a good deal on a used one then by all means, but buying a brand new VS cam is just dumb.

I ordered a metal harmonic balancer from them once, they emailed me telling me that Powerbond was no longer making the standard size balancer and they asked me if I would like the od one for the same price. Funny thing is you can still order the standard size Powerbond metal harmonic balancer from them, and every other vendor on the planet. My guess they lied just because it was out of stock..........

I ordered a VS cam for a build during the summer and it took three weeks because the Comp stock was behind.

    It happens.

But, I've had my issues with ZZP in the past...however recently they've done a much better job at making up for the issues.

Built a motor for my old man's daily GTP...just a header/VS car with a stock pulley on a high comp block.

Better than rockers, and while the motor is out, why not?

Really? I would think "the aftermarket leader of the 3800" would grind their own cams. I mean they claim to have "The world's top 3800 technicians" so they have no reason not to do it.
