hello there, im austin (ozzy) 21 years old from texas

im new to this site and would like to share a project iv been working on for the past few months. to start off i found a grandprix gtp in odessa, tx on craigslist for $500, it was an old women selling it and she just wanted it gone and had no use for it anymore.. im not going to lie the body was extremely beat up due to her sons gf going psycho and smashing every panel with a bat.. anyway i drove 7 hrs to odessa, brought a baterry and a tire.. when i arrived i opened the hood and it was immaculate .. i couldnt pass up this deal up, so i payed her in cash and with the help of my brother drove it 7 hrs back.. now i have made this my project car and have completely gutted the interior, spray pained the inside with bed liner, replaced the bashed doors with blue daytona editions, picked up some junk yard leather seats ( oldsmobile aurora $50 .. they look amazing!) and doing slight mods to the engine (springs, intercooled, 3.0 pulley, headers) .. im also doing a custom exhaust and welding everything my self .. just wanted to see what yal think.. i tried to upload my photos but it seems none of them will?? sorry guys i wanted yal to see my progress .. if any one might be interested to see pm me and il send some thru my email.

open up a photobucket account and up load there, then copy the direct link or img link and past it into the 3 rd icon from the right in the reply window.

sounds like a basket case with potential.

    hahaha

thanks to chopping up my sedan, it has new fenders, rear end components, extra wires, though the sunroof is not cut off yet.

she just needs a few hours of time and a bit of paint.

battery will be placed into the trunk, its gonna have a nice up graded fuel pump from racetronix, once i rewire the caspers electronix fp rewire it will all get tossed on and look good.
those seats are so comfy its perfect.

the doors and bumper/trunk lid all came off a tottalled car of mine. rather fun to play with, we replaced all the bumper suports and styrofoam.
the ac condensor and the cradle are next on the list then we can start throwing stuff back into it.

damn i wonder what that thing weighs. there is probably a thousand pounds of other scrap next to it. it that pulls 300 in dead weight i would be fricken happy.

we should have it cut the rest of the way come the time when the rain is all dried up

clean metal pays more, just so you know, no mixing of the metals, no plastic, or screws in it.

and some places may give you some crap because more then likely they will know its a chopped up car lol and may not want it, fearing its stolen.

so if you have the title and the vin plate still that would cover you.

lol yea we are very aware of that .. we saved the plates and have the title and vin number.. hopefully we can get about that much and throw that money right back into the project car for mufflers etc.

no doubt you got a few bucks laying there.

used engine blocks, engine parts, dead trannys, all bring good money as well.

i think i got $15 for my old rack and old stock front calipers and brackets. another 80 for a set of wheels. tires off of course.

i made 1160 bucks off a restaurant that was a buffet style, and went back to a only a kitchen, they tossed out all the stainless steel counters and tubs.

i had my pick up still, stopped in after hitting it with a magnet and knew it was stainless and worth a boat load, went in and asked if i could have it, the little Asian man say take it away lol

took 2 trips, 800 the first trip, and 360 the second trip. i had the bed piled up over the cab on the 1 st trip, lol worth every minute of my time.

at the time iirc ss was 1.20 a lb, but he nailed me for the sheet metal screws holding it together so i got like 90 cents a lb.

dam man you got a hell of a steal !! i wish i could come across some free money like that ! .. we have taken the front subframe and the independent suspension on the rear off for a project in the future so we are straight up just chopping the body into pieces .. even tho its just the body its still free money lol
