Lookin' forward to the meet. I'll have the Intercooler finished by then & hopefully a new custom tune.

October 8th is the 22nd Annual Pontiac Uprising at KID. Several of us are attending this show and race. We'll be tuning in preparation for the Buick Vs. Ford shoot out.
That reminds me...I need to order some slicks!

One local is now cornfed too. Hes really liking it. I'm still on the fence about switching over just yet. I like how far I can drive on a tank of gas. If my GTP was race only...hell ya I'd be on it.
The guys with the Grand Nationals are happy to see the large turn out/interest of Grand Prix's this year. I think Shawn L. from Oklahoma was like the only GP to show up over the past couple of years. I think with all of us going, he will be tempted to race, instead of watch this year as he planned.

He might, but he said he might bring the GTO instead.. He said something about a track official there making him wear a fire jacket cause of the supercharger. I may buy a cheap one just in case and just to have.
On the e85 I just welded up my handmade fuel rails and have a lot of cleanup powdercoat to do and AN fittings to buy but as soon as I get them on and my intercooler installed and make sure my gas tune is good then I will switch. Hope I don't run out of time...lol

Lifted 3/4 track. 12.41 @ 100mph on a 125 shot. 1/8mph was 8.1 @ 94.6mph. Hope to hear that his Regal hit some 11's or low 12's on a full nitrous pass. His bottle is heated up and about to make another pass.
^thats awesome. Was it the black Regal?
No new PB's for me. But my two important times were a 13.48 @ 102.47 and in the finals with a 13.51 @ 101.58 for the win against my closest matched Mustang. All motor no nitrous, and still running way lean...looks like its time for that new Aeromotive pump to go in now.
Once we get my lean condition figured out, 11's should not be a problem. Then, when I have enough fuel, I can add back in the N20. Next year...or maybe this year if mother nature holds out longer.
It was a fun-FUN event. First time going, and I'll most likely be back.

Yep, that's the one. He's best pass ended up being 12.36 @112. He says he's pretty sure the convertor went kaput. if it is then I'd almost willing to bet the torque convertor ballooned. ZZP or one of the other vendors should make some TC's with antiballooning plates. Especially for the nitrous guys.
Looks like you didn't do too bad yourself.
What shot will you be running next year? 11's is moving in a w-body. If you can pull that off it will make for some interesting races.

That sucks about the torque converter. As for better ones out there, I know Ryan, "fieroX" with ftwmotorsports.net worked with Marty and Neal Chance racing converters, and they developed a pretty bad ass billet torque converter for the 4t65e-hd's. $350.00 and they are custom made. You can get them through Ryan exclusively. It should be the last converter you should ever need to buy.
12.7 @ 105 is my PB on the motor, with a bad tune. (pulling fuel).
That was set back in 11/2007. LOL
I'll probably be running a 65-75 dry shot when I run the juice again. I did build this engine to run a healthy shot of nitrous if I wanted to, but I use the nitrous for a cooling aid, not depend on it for horsepower. If things look good with that shot, then I might up the dose.
Mid 11's is my goal for this car...just need more fuel. lol
