So are you Scotty. You are more than welcome to follow me to Branson next year. THAT is a good time! Although, we might need to stop and do a little oil change on the way. I tend to add a few extra miles the way I go.

While I would love to do so, my trunk only holds so much oil, and well, the way you get there, Im not sure I could carry enough to do all the needed oil changes.

I was over at the other place checkin' out their club ideas. I found what someone posted a very nice compliment for the BGPM event.

    Quote:
For 07 I adopted BGPM as the event to attend and was more than pleasantly surprised. Drive was a little longer (9 hours) and Missouri is a sudden change in scenery (beautiful, but crazy roads), but for anything I could complain about the positives by far outweigh the negatives. Definitely the most "community" event I've ever been too. I will keep going as long as they keep having it. Gets bigger every year. Great cars, better people. Made new friends and had a great time.
Yep, that was me. It was a great time and a good cause. My wife and I both enjoyed it, even with my electrical problems and the "POP,POP, POOF".

Jason Klingaman on there, but Lowlyfe or LowlyfeGTP on all other forums at the moment. I had just gotten my LOWLYFE plates on my first 98 GTP a few months before joining CGP back in 1999.

Man! Who made those good lookin' shirts? Oh, that's right. Anyway, yeah, I hate that I wasn't there, but lots and lots of things prevented me and mine from attending, including but not limited to embarrassment of my car. Even thought about taking my wife's Sebring up there and being a 'guest participant'. Oh well, there's always '08.

Adding again: I'm really glad to see an active board here. Thanks to everyone who's here now and soon to come!

Therman, no excuses about the car( if it's drivable). Mine is I think the only stock car in the club. I was ready to quite! Chris and Sheryl talked me into racing and I got 2nd. Imagine that. I've got 5 sports cars and my GP got me my first trophy. It was crazy fun!!

That makes at least three of us that said that at the same time... I should have at least gotten a slowest ET award for that run. Wish I had my time slip handy, I can't remember what it was. Something like 32 sec at 24mph or vice versa. At least it started back up again before the end of the 1/4 mile and I didn't get the Ed Morad "blow it up award". Should have listened to myself, "Don't race you're 9+ hours from home". That situation really didn't help me with my nerves to actually get out there and try it. Next time I just know I'll have the pucker going. We'll see for 2008. Gonna try to change things up a bit.

Still not sure if everything was coincidence or not with that happening and then my fuel pressure gauge not working and then my alternator going bad all in the same day. I haven't messed with it too much, hoping the Optima is still good $$$.

Nah, that's all part of the rush. There's something to be said about driving several hours to throw down some wicked time, and then load the car up and go back home.

^ It would be great to have ya! Bring some others from your area, so it doesnt feel like such a long drive.

Plus, I have found out that if there is an event a ways from home, and everyone knows about it, but nobody wants to go. As soon as one says hes going, and then another says sure I'll go, then its a land slide, and suddenly everyone from that area starts planning for the event and before long...there is a 6-12 car caravan heading to the event.

Nothing to do w/it being stockā€¦more to do w/it looking like a beater.
