so im wanting the 3.5 pulley from ZZP. They recommend their Downpipe before going to a 3.5 pulley. My question is which Downpipe would I want to get? what size? and would i get the 02 Bung not sure what it would do... Im in cali so emissions is on my mind. I also decided i might as well get the U bend delete as well but the 02 Bung option is there again... I dont want to pay for anything that i dont need. Help!

ca sucks, you'll need a carb approved cat installed in the down pipe.

lets think about this, if you change the down pipe, why would you also need a U bend delete? the u bend is in the stock down pipe.

now you can do a u bend delete too if you dont want to get the new DP and a new cat.

i went to a muffler shop and bought 12 inches of pipe a o2 bung, and a flange, (for 20 bucks) then welded it up my self and installed it.

zzp sells a u bend delete for what 50 bucks? im sure a shop could make and install one for that much.

Yes as said, it sucks for us here in Cali when it comes to emissions, but as a suggestion, buy ZZPs catless downpipe and keep you OEM downpipe for when it comes time to smog your car. If you do the swap out yourself it shouldn't take you more than 30-35 mins to get under the car and do it yourself every 2 years for your smog test. It's worked for me the last 4 years.

Yes, the catless downpipe will not pass smog, but that is why you keep your OEM downpipe in storage. When it comes time for you to smog your car, you change out your catless to your OEM and smog the car then which back to your catless after you pass your smog test. Also what year is your car....... if you are an 04+, you're going to need a lot more than a downpipe to get down safely to a 3.4/3.5 pulley. I think you might what to read this: http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...00-Powered-Car!!

To clarify, it won't pass the visual inspection.

i did say that as well in my first post.

you'll likely get a o2 code from the cat less d/p. you can get that tuned out so your not looking at the check engine light stuck on.
