I think they should get community hero recognition for all the work and money they have put into the 2008 BGPM event. It has been a wonderful event so far and has all ran pretty darn smoothly. A great testament to their commitment to this community.

They have spent a great deal of time, invested their own funds all the while dealing with everyday life putting this thing together and making it come off without a hitch. I havent personally taken a count as to how many cars are here, but there are quite a few here. All of you that were unable to make it sure are missing out.

I think everyone that gets to meet them should thank them for all that they have gone through to pull this off. Send them a PM, thank them in person or whatever you can do to let them know that all their hard work has not gone un-noticed. This is the third year of the BGPM event and they have truly worked VERY hard to put on a great event.

My hats and thanks off to both of you for doing all this and for putting forth all the effort, time, expense and sacrifice that you have to bring members of this community together.

Was coming in here to do the exact same thing myself, glad we all thing alike when it comes to this.

As usual they provided us with another great event, thats a pleasure to attend, and give us plenty to do, and is always well organized. Ya so we run a little late at things, but it always works out in the end, as again, just a bad ass event!

Its not easy to do, with the planning involved, and the countless emails, phone calls, and diving back and forth to Branson ahead of the event to set things up in person with local business owners. They surly do an awful lot of work we never see or hear about, but I know how much is involved for a event like this, and let me say, I don't thing anybody could pull what they pull off every year like these guys can!

As they say, every year is better than the next, and they ain't B.S.ing. The first event was awesome, and after attending all three every year, I can tell, things run smooth, and still we have a great time for being on a time schedule. Plenty to do and plenty to see at the event and away...

My hats off to you two for sure, and see you next year!

BTW, Cris, I forgot to shake your hand before we left Sunday, and thank you in person for what you do. And I also forgot to tell you at the show, I noticed your brake res. was a little low on fluid, so you might want to top that off.

Even though I didn't get to go this year, I would also like to send my Thanks, It is the organizers and all the people running around behind the scenes(meets, forums, track days.....) that help hold the community together, events help us become closer, and share our knowledge better than we ever could over the internet

Thank you all for the kind words and support.

I cant take all the credit for the first 2 years or getting this event started as it was a joint venture between TAGPC (My Club) and STLGPC (Kel's Club). Without Kel's hard work in the planning of the first 2 events, I really dont think one person could have pulled this off.

Now that we are working on the 4th year of this venture, alot of the bugs have been worked out and more attention can be paid to fine tunning to make it even better. I personnaly learned some things this year as I do with every event, and there will be some changes made to next years to make this the best event for the community. We have recruited some help for next year, so if you think things were smooth this year, come to next years event and see how smooth things can be.

For those of you that have never been to this event, let me try to sum it up short and sweet.

There are plenty of events for racing in the community and seeing the 8 second cars, but this event is not one of them. This event is for the community and the guys and gals that drive their cars as daily drivers. Over the last 3 years we have never had a trailer queen show up at the event. This is YOUR event, not my event or any paticular clubs event. We have some GREAT sponsors that truely donate for the community, and I would encourage everyone to thank them as well, because without them there would be no raffle for cool mods, or door prizes. The best part about the event is that not a dime is made by anyone other than the charity that is picked every year. For the last 3 years we have donated around $4500 to the kids at the Victory Junction Gang.

I hope that you all will consider coming to next years event and make this the BIGGEST BGPM to date.

I didn't goto the event but I'm really happy to see the friendship and dedication between everyone on the site! I've only been apart of you guys for about a month and I can't wait to start going to some events and such! It's exciting just thinking about it.

Thank you all for making this a comforting and enjoyable club!
