It has come to my attention that many here; past, present and future members of this great community that we lovingly refer to as home come here with the sole purpose to learn about the gentle beast affectionately referred to as the "W-body."

Whether it be to learn about repairing the very few common problems and the correct way to fix them(or also the most cost effective). Ways to improve the styling and/or functionality (through the use of aftermarket wheels or more likely ways to install brighter projector headlights).

I know these are just a few of examples, but I would like to take a minute of your time on here and share some of my limited wisdom unto you. As mentioned before some come here to learn about modifying their cars, also known as modding or doing a mod or mods. Well my personal favorite aspect of "modding" a car is in the performance department. More specifically improving the efficiency of the massive airpump we call an internal combustion engine. AKA more power

The genius of the L67 is in its factory forced induction. This makes it very cost effective to improve the output of this stout little power plant. The OEM blower designed and manufactured by the Eaton Corporation does this by way of their positive displacement roots style blower.

Superchargers perform their work via the crankshaft through the use of a pulley system. The ratio between the crank pulley and the blower pulley determines how fast the rotors in the blower case will spin. When the rotors spin fast enough to push more air into the engine than it can actually pull through with just vacuum we get the little gift called "boost."

Since the purpose of my thread is to help ALL members of this forum improve the volumetric efficiency of their powerplants as cost effectively as possible, I'll get to the point. Aftermarket companies are making it possible to alter the ratio between the blower and the crank throught the use of different pulley ratios. The cheaper and easiest way to do this is the blower pulley. By adding a smaller pulley to the blower we'll achieve a higher rotor speed/engine speed. More Boost, more cylinder pressure, more POWER. Obviously you'll need to add more fuel seeing as we're adding more air you'll also need to alter the PCM or "tune" it.

I'm guessing many of you already know all this, just through the use of the massive archives of the combined knowledge of our GTP descendents. May we all thank them for all their Research and Development and passing it down to us. But I have found error in their logic. Almost everyone on here will use either the aftermarket company ZZP or Intense. Sure they make good products, just not the best IMO.

So to get to the point. Here is the Best of the Best. BilletFlow: Home of Premium Billet Pulleys, Throttle Bodies and Accessories

    Thanks for reading.

Wow... You are the wind beneath my wings... This is indeed a sort of think tank for these cars and if any new or even old member is willing to examine all their options, then it is up to us to make all those same available to them... The tried and true companies are fine most of the time but when you get a chance to see a new product, or a niche product done in an exciting new way it is imperative you alert us all... Well done...

he means that our cars dont come factory intercooled and are about at their limits stock. with more mods, we can drop pulleys. without them, the stock pulley is more than enough.

Looks like a press on pulley to me? They look cool, but I live about 5 min from Nate and Smoothflow so I guess its not really worth it. I should talk to him and see if he could make those grooves in his pulleys though.
