I think I will finally have a chance to put my front/rear inlays on today and was wondering if it's okay to wax over them once they set?

Also, would it be okay for the paint if I ever did decide to remove the inlays? --would there be any residue or paint peeling under?

    Thank you!

waxing over the vinyl won't hurt anything. some say it even helps to keep it from coming up on the edges because it makes a protective layer over the top, but i don't think its really enough to make a difference.

As far as coming off, there will probably be some residue, depending on how long its been applied the underside of the sticker may have better color as it won't be sun faded. Otherwise, just be gentle with removing, no "just like a band-aide" rips and you'll be a-ok

it'll help them from fading as well. the wax protects it just like it would be paint.

Yes, wax is ok, BUT- just keep in mind that you are wiping over a smaller decal so you have more chance to pull up the edges with the cloth. Be as cautious as you can if you're going to really wipe them hard or buff on them.

The only paint we've seen removed when removing a decal is paint that is not from the factory. As long as you have a factory paint job, these really shouldn't pull up the paint. You will have the sticker residue left over, but you can clean that off with a product like Goo Gone if just soap and water aren't working.
