I just purchased and rough installed my new Aeroforce Gauge in my 02 GTP to make sure it was working but now need to make the install more permanent, does anyone have any suggestions other than a pillar pod as I only intend to have this one gauge?

Do you have any pics of how this is acbieved
If you have an 04+, you can seal a plate on the front of the console cubby with a hole for the gauge.
Thanks for the great pic, with my car being an 02 how does the HUD attach to my dash?
Also where do you run the power wire and OBD2 up to the HUD location?
You can go up through the space around the HUD if you have one.
The HUD pod just sits there. It's supposed to be held in place by the A pillar cover.
My personal favourite spot for a gauge is down in the cubby in front of the shifter. It's a little less obnoxious, and easy to cover up as that Aero brightness isn't easily adjusted. Out in the country at night, it will be blinding.
Just open the cupholder, and pull up on the trim piece around the shifter then pull it back and up. Might have to move the shifter out of park and into gear. Make sure the wheels are chalked or the parking brake is on (if it works).
What he said ^^^^
It all comes down to personal preference, the HUP pod was a simple solution for my needs and cheap.
Thanks to all for your input, I am leaning towards the cubby area for my install, I will provide more input when done.
Hopefully after install I am able to figure out how to use this gauge!
I just took a hole saw to the dash!

Follow this... it's a really nice mount location, totally temporary if you every need to remove it, no visible wiring... it looks completely stock if you do it right.
You can find the trim ring for like 3 bucks at Staples/Home Depot/etc
You dont have to do ANY of that cutting that he talks about at all.
Im jealous, I wish I could get my Aeroforce working again. It worked so nice for a few months and then started resetting one day, never was good again. I've exhausted every forum I can find, I exhausted Crutchfield support, ZZP, Aeroforce customer service, Will Overkill wont answer me about it, and neither will Intense. Nobody seems to be able to figure out what's wrong with this thing/my car. It's insane.

Thanks Fribo, great info but my car is an 02 GTP and it does not have the vent ball setup, your idea and gauge looks great!
Oops, I just realized I actually have no idea what the vents in a pre-04 look like, lol.
Oh well, however you set it up, they're a really fun toy... have fun!
Thanks guys you have all given me some great info and ideas, options etc, presently at least I have my gauge functioning, these gauges really are a must have if you have a nodded car, will keep you posted on my addiction to modding![]()
