well heres the thing....ive had my regal for almost 4yrs now, raced it at the track,st daily drive whatever with the stock ecu with the stock 5500 shift point, no problems. i get an intense ecu with 6k shift point and spun a rod bearing within the first 30MINS! of it being on the car! so just replaced the motor..dont want to take a chance..its my only car now.

what mods do you have done to it? what all did intense modify for you in the pcm? I am shocked that a pcm would damage a rod bearing that fast... but if there was oil pressure issues and you went over 6k then that might just be the problem. stock shift point for that engine is set for 5350 so i can see where you would prob see 5,500 at the end of a shift.

I take it you do not have your old pcm any more and intense wont swap it back for you. Yes if you want to go back to stock I can do that for free if you get the car here or pcm. If you bring the car we could actually do real tuning for you vs the mail order pcm you have. I can make a mild tune for you that will still have the benefits of the fan temps and all the little tweaks. just let me know what you want to do.

High shift points would not spin rod bearings

Detonation is how most rod bearings spin. Or, water in the oil.
