PCM may not work, as there was never a Regal Park Avenue. A PA is very unlikely to work well in the GP, Regal might.

If you've dropped in the L67 on your L36 harness, you could use a GTP file. However the problems there will be the map sensor (unless you realized it's a cut and solder same colors) to connect it and the Boost control circuit will likely toss a light. But heck, it's a light, not the end of the world.

yea i know about the map sensor an the light doesnt bother me for now thats minor. my main concern is getting the car started i have access to alldata also for wiring diagrams. what if i buy a tuned pcm from zzp for a gtp application.

Now if i plug the ultra pcm into my gt with the l67 can i expect it to start or nothing at all?

I'm not sure on the pinouts between the two. Likely it'll start....or fry. I'd say you have about a 60/40 chance w/o looking at the wiring.

Might be like the intrigue in my garage currently. Put a 2K Regal bin on a pcm and it says... nada! on a 98 Regal it supposedly started

Lol, I was just going to go buy a gtp pcm im assuming the wiring would be the same but with the way my lucks going i would spend 100 on the pcm an fry it lol i guess at this point my priority is to put my hands on the diagram an see what she says.

A 1998 gtp pcm would be plug and play. The ultra pcm won't work.

Thanx will pick one up this weekend. Got new oil pan gasket valve cover gaskets put on including changing oil filter housing an gasket putting motor in Sunday should be running. Does it have to be 98 only or can it be 98-02?

Since the motor came out of a 99 then any 99-02 gtp pcm will work. The 98 used a different maf/tb combo.
