So I may or may not have been planning on doing this tomorrow but basically I have a wideband and no way to log it... I need a way to dial in my upper maf tables to be consistant so I dont have to deal with randomly going lean twards the higher rpms or rich twards the lower rpms because the table isnt scaling with engine rpm. And then I had a crazy idea...

Im well aware that narrowband 02s arent in any way accurate past 14.4 - 15 afr but they are consistent .. I know this because my buddies gtp with a near perfect maf table has narrowband mv readings that vary less then 15mv at wide open and a wideband that absolutely locks in at 11.8 (e85)... Whats stopping me from tuning the lower half of the maf table normally using ltfts and then using using the narrowband readings at wot to smooth out and make my upper maf table linear and consistent and then eyeballing my wideband to scale the whole upper section by %? untill I have the pcm set to 11.5 PE and a wideband reading of 11.5?

Feel free to call me dumb / crazy... Was just considering giving it a try.

My understanding is that the narrow band is not as accurate as the wide, so it's failed logic, you will use data that is
less accurate via the narrow band and thereby your settings you propose will be as inaccurate. You may get it close and it will work to a certain extent.

As for logging, there is a cheap work around... The Bluetooth OBD2 reader and the Android Torque app... The Bluetooth thingy is $20 on eBay and the App is $5. It will record the engine and parameters needed for programming the PCM and can reset codes as well. If you are splicing in the wideband to the EGR I'm sure you can log that too and get more accurate adjustments. But how do you plan to program the PCM? Am I missing something here...

Really no reason to "tune" your lower maf cells, becase the narrowband is just going to break them anyway.

The area you want to "tune" is the locking area around 6k hrz... basically give it your best guess and hope it works.

I have hptuners for programing and logging. I know the narrowband isn't accurate as far as Afr goes but it is consistent so I want to use it to smooth out variances in the maf table so that I can lock in my power enrichment better. I will still use the wideband to actually set my wot fueling
